Nate was born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula. He lives in Pacific Grove, CA, with his wife and three children. Nate was a long-time local school teacher before his career as a Realtor®, and he brings this same passion for education and accountability to achieve the best possible results for his clients. He truly loves being a helpful presence in the real estate process and feels honored to assist you in any way that he can.
The youngest of three, Nate grew up riding his bike in the neighborhood, building tree forts, and playing little league games at George Washington Park. He is the son of Sharon Randall, a national columnist, and Randy Randall, a long-time teacher and coach at Monterey High.
After graduating high school, Nate went to live and work in his favorite family vacation spot, Yosemite National Park, for a year. Upon returning to the Monterey Peninsula, he began his English program at San Jose State. While completing his bachelor’s degree, Nate wrote feature articles for Carmel Magazine, exploring and giving voice to the rich culture and history of the coast.
It was in this period of his life that Nate also began training in the Japanese martial art called Aikido -- known as the “Art of Peace." After attaining the rank of black belt, Nate began teaching children classes at Aikido of Monterey, and it it was this joy of connecting with the community that led to a calling to work in public service.
From here, Nate obtained his teaching credential at Chapman University, and began teaching 3rd grade at Forest Grove Elementary, the same school he attended as a child. This was a dream for him, serving families of the very community that he was raised in.
During his teaching career, Nate purchased a home and remodeled it on his own -- electrical, plumbing, kitchen, bath, drywall, tile, cabinets, flooring, and more. He obtained permits, passed inspections and learned a good deal about building codes along the way. His wife, Jess, and their three young children were kind enough to put up with the dust, hammering and brief periods without power or running water. Through this process, Nate realized a strong passion for all aspects of the real estate experience -- from the journey of a first-time buyer and the pride of home-ownership, to improving the property, listing the property for sale and eventually buying again.
Nate now devotes every ounce of energy to serving the community full-time as a Realtor®, and feels truly honored to be a part of the Sotheby’s International Realty team. With an intimate connection and knowledge of the entire peninsula -- the neighborhoods, communities, schools and people -- Nate is truly committed to putting the needs, questions and goals of his clients first while providing the absolute best customer service he possibly can.
